Tata AutoComp launches Quality Month Celebrations

Mr. Karl Slym, President and MD GM India inaugurates the function

Pune, November 5, 2009: Tata AutoComp Systems Limited, India’s leading auto component conglomerate launched the Quality Month celebrations on October 30, 2009. The formal function was presided over by Mr. Karl Slym, President and Managing Director, General Motors India, who graced the occasion as Chief Guest. 

The month of November is internationally celebrated as Quality Month, and during the function, the mascot of Quality Month, , Del-Qua was formally unveiled by Mr. Slym.

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Arvind Goel, President and Head Business Group 3, Tata AutoComp Ltd, said, “At Tata AutoComp, Quality celebrations will not be just restricted to November or manufacturing, but would be an ongoing year long celebration and would cut across all the facets of the organization.”

Inaugurating the function, Mr. Karl Slym, emphasized that quality should be part of the organizations culture and should be demonstrated across all facets of the organization, customer, internal employee and supplier. He thanked Tata AutoComp for inviting General Motors for the function and assured more closer ties in future.

Mr .Venkatram, Vice President Strategic Sourcing and Mr. Pradeep Singh, Director Supplier Quality of General Motors India also attended the function, and visited a couple of the manufacturing facilities of Tata AutoComp.
